"Thankfully there is never a shortage of quality new singer songwriters on the Welsh music scene, and to be honest I now expect that. But when I first heard Maddie Jones I was genuinely taken aback. Her voice is powerful and strong, she plays guitar like a cross between Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell and her songs have depth, great melody and a lyrical chomp that when it bites, you will feel until the middle of next week.
